Application Procedure for Incoming Erasmus Students

The Valence Institute of Technology (IUT Valence) welcomes Erasmus exchange applications from students enrolled at our partner universities.

Eligibility

Before applying, please check with your university’s Erasmus Office to confirm whether your institution has an Erasmus exchange agreement with IUT Valence.

  • If an agreement exists, your Erasmus Office will guide you through the application process. Your home institution must select you, approve your proposed courses, and officially nominate you to IUT Valence.
  • If no agreement exists, but your university is interested in establishing one, the International Office of your home institution should contact us directly.

Nomination Deadlines

Your home university must nominate you within the following periods:

  • 1st Term (Fall Semester): March 15 – April 30
  • 2nd Term (Spring Semester): August 30 – September 30

Application Deadlines

Once nominated, you must complete your application within the following periods:

  • 1st Term: March 15 – May 30
  • 2nd Term: September 15 – October 18

English Language Proficiency

All incoming Erasmus students must have sufficient English language skills to follow lectures, participate in discussions, and take exams in English.

  • Recommended level: B2 (Common European Framework of Reference for Languages - CEFR)
  • Minimum required level: B1

How to Apply

Once we receive your official nomination from your home university, you will receive a link to the application portal. Your application must include the following documents:

  • Online Application Form – The link will be provided by the Valence International Office after your nomination.
  • Learning Agreement – Signed by you and your home university’s Erasmus academic coordinator. You may use either the IUT Valence version or your university’s version. Download Learning Agreement
  • Curriculum Vitae (CV/Resume) – A current version of your academic and professional background.
  • Transcripts of Records – Your latest academic results.
  •  European Health Insurance Card (EHIC) – A scanned copy is required for EU students.
  • Passport Copy – A scanned copy of the photo page.

Confirmation of Acceptance

Your application will be reviewed by the Erasmus academic coordinator of the relevant department. If approved, you will receive an official Confirmation of Acceptance email from the IUT Valence Erasmus Office. Once accepted, you can begin preparing for your stay in Valence. Additional details, such as orientation arrangements, will be provided by email.
